Maggie Louise Wilson, 85, of Union City died March 29, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar with Gene Stafford officiating. Burial will follow there in Toone Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 9:30-11 a.m. Friday.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Memphis Area Office, 326 Ellsworth St., Memphis, TN 38111.
Mrs. Wilson was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late George Ambrose and Maggie Lee (Pirtle) Smith and lived most of her life in Memphis before moving to Union City 25 years ago.
She was the widow of W.B. Wilson, who died March 18, 2001, after 51 years of marriage, and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Jimmy Vaughn and Betty and Larry Adkins, all of Union City, and Cathy and Brad Miller of Oxnard, Calif.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Wilson of Fairmount, Ind., Wayne and Reva Wilson of Crossville and David and Barbara Wilson of Nesbit, Miss.; her sister, Georgia King of Bolivar; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Lee Kiestler and Lucille Smith; and five brothers, Bud Smith, Denver Smith, Jay Smith, John Smith and a young brother whose name was not provided.
