A Union City husband and wife were injured Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision in Trenton.
Kevin and Lori Hendon sustained injuries in a crash that occurred about 3:30 p.m., according to Trenton police.
Sources indicated Kevin Hendon was transferred to Regional Medical Center (the Med) in Memphis for treatment of injuries that include a neck injury.
Trenton Police Chief Will Sanders said Kevin Hendon was driving southbound on the Highway 45 Bypass in Trenton when a northbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy from Humboldt veered into the southbound lane for some unknown reason, causing a head-on collision with the Hendons’ vehicle. The crash was still under investigation today and no additional details were available, but police noted it was raining heavily at the time it occurred.
The Hendons and the teenager were all transported to Gibson General Hospital in Trenton for treatment, according to Sanders. Kevin Hendon apparently was later transferred to the Memphis hospital.
