Members of the University of Tennessee at Martin voice and percussion studios will perform a chamber music recital at 7:30 p.m., March 29, in Room 112 of Boling University Center.

Performances include a new work titled “The Dead,” for spoken word and a marimba solo, based on text from James Joyce’s “The Dead.”

Dr. Roberto Mancusi, assistant professor of music, will be featured in a new arrangement of “The Viking Guest,” by sophomore Kerry Durso, and will also perform a duet with marimbist, Dr. Julie Hill, associate professor of music. Dr. Amy Yeung, associate professor of music, is also featured on two of the chamber works.

This is the first time the UT Martin voice and percussion studios have collaborated. In addition, all works being performed have never before been played on UT Martin’s campus. This event is free and open to the public.
