New UTM runners

revealed by skipper

 

UT Martin cross country coach Gordon Sanders has announced the commitments of five student-athletes set to join the program next season.

Hannah Northam, Paige Waldron, and Makaila Offutt are the three ladies that have committed to join UTM’s team in the fall. 

Waldron has rural West Tennessee ties, having ran at Dyersburg.

Northam is an Arlington native, who has lettered in cross country as well as track and field.

Offutt comes to UT Martin from Rossview in Clarksville. 

Blake Anthony and Hunter Kesse are the new men joining Skyhawk cross country.

Kesse was a standout runner for Big Sandy while he attended and graduated from Camden. 

This is an allowable arrangement for those school districts without cross country teams if  a student is willing to put in the extra time and effort. 

Anthony ran for head coach Luke Finley at Independence in Thompson Station. 

 

Martin man Swaim

aces hole at PHGC

 

Mark Swaim of Martin recorded a hole-in-one at Persimmon Hills Golf Course on Sunday.

Swaim’s ace came on the 147-yard, ninth hole.He used a 7-iron.

Jeff Chandler, Randy Cooper, Eddie Trevathan and Willie Trevathan witnessed Swaim’s hole-in-one.
