Completed arrangements are being announced for Mildred (Curd) Gearin, 88, of Union City, who died 6:55 p.m. March 22, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Herman Cemetery near Greenfield.
The family will receive friends from noon-1:15 p.m. Saturday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be made to Exchange Street Church of Christ, 420 Exchange St., Union City, TN 38261.
She was born May 19, 1922, in Union City, daughter of the late Claud and Eva (Lowrance) Curd. She married James Marvin Gearin June 30, 1962. He died April 29, 2009. She was a retired operator for Bell South Telephone Co. and a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her niece, Claudia Curd of Nashville; her nephew, Cary Curd of Gallatin; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Joe Hawkins of Lakeland.
She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Milton Curd.
