Dresden Duplicate Club

Dresden Duplicate Bridge Club met Wednesday afternoon with attendance down a little due to the fact that some of our  players had gone to Louisville, Ky to a Sectional Bridge Tournament.  Alma Ford and Becky Bennett topped the class B Section and were third in class A.
     Several others from the  Paris Club and Union City Club attended and reported have a great time and winning many points.
      We enjoyed lemon cake with caramel icing, sharp cheddar cheese slices with pickles and crackers, pretzels, nuts and boldts and cashew nuts and a box cf English toffee and yet still, a delicious spinach and crab dip with Ritz™.
     Winners of the game today were Gene Fulks and Roberta Meyer of Paris and second Jack Bogue and Toni Pritchett (Jack from Milan). Third was Ruthie Jenkins and Carolyn Rogers both of Paris.

This week I have  got to give you this recipe for a

DANG GOOD PIE 

(We had it recently and I forgot to tell you about it)

3/4 stick buter                       

1-1/2 c. sugar

3 eggs                                 

3 Tbsp. all purpose flour

1c. cocnut                             

1 c. crushed pineapple

1 (9inch) unbaked pie shell
    Melt butter and mix with remaining ingredients.  Pour filling into pie shell and bake 1 hour at 350 degree or until set and brown.
