For starters, the Rebels boys gave Westview a game, but ultimately fell 5-3.
Meanwhile, the Union City Middle School co-ed team held undefeated Martin somewhat in check during a 3-0 defeat.
Finally, the South Fulton guys stayed close during a 3-1 defeat to Ripley.
All three of the local soccer squads return to action Thursday.
The SF boys head to Central for a contest at 6 that evening.
The UCMS squad hosts Gibson County the same day at 5:30.
Westview 5, OC 3
Victor Guerrero booted two goals for the Rebels, while Tanner Noles had one scoring kick Tuesday.
Westview’s Abraham Haddad matched Guerrero with two goals.
Obion Central (0-1-1) trailed 2-1 at intermission to Westview.
The Rebel soccer team is in just its second campaign of existence.
Martin 3, UCMS 0
Twister goalie Will Thralls stood out during the first half, saving 16 of 17 shots to keep the locals in the contest.
All totaled, Union City made just three shots on goal.
UC was behind 1-0 at halftime.
Jordan Hazelwood, Barrett Belote and Brandon Stacks all scored for the Panthers.
Ripley 3, SF 1
The Red Devils — in just their second varsity contest in school history — trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Jalen Fowell had the lone South Fulton goal.
With the defeat, SF is now 0-2 on the campaign.
