Area residents are invited to the Obion County UT Alumni chapter reception honoring the new president of the University of Tennessee, Dr. Joe DiPietro, at Hampton Centré on West Reelfoot Avenue in Union City April 8 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available from Claudia Maness at 1412 Forest Drive in Union City by Monday. Ticket cost includes hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will be available. Checks should be made payable to Obion County UTAA.
