Mike Buckelew, 61, of Tiptonville, died March 17, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Julian Huey officiating. Burial followed in the Buckelew Family Cemetery in Tiptonville.
Pallbearers were Aubrey Messer, George Paris, Gene Watson, John Cashion, Jason Huey and Josh Huey.
He was a retired correctional officer for Northwest Correctional Complex. He attended Phillippy Baptist Church, was a former member of Tennessee Army National Guard and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Buckelew; his daughter, Lyndsey Darnell of Samburg; his son, Michael Buckelew of Shawtown community; his stepson, John Cashion of Union City; his stepdaughter, Krisie Huey of Obion; his sister, Sondra Phillips of Ridgely; two brothers, Jimmie Buckelew Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, and Dennis Buckelew of Union City; two grandchildren, Lexie Jones and Kyler Buckelew; and three step-grandchildren, Josh Huey, Luke Huey and Levi Huey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rebecca (Newsome) and Jimmie Buckelew Sr.; and his sister, Donna (Buckelew) Shuford.
