McCabe United Methodist Women will celebrate Women’s History Month on Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. worship and praise program celebrating Women of Strength. The guest speaker is First Lady Lynn Harper of New Walk of Faith Ministry on Main Street in Martin accompanied by her choir. There will also be a special performance by St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Pantomime Soul Survivors of Dyer.
On Saturday, March 19 at 9 a.m. there will be a workshop on topics relating to women. Facilitators will be Dr. Daphne Henderson, Natalie Dickerson Boyd of UT Martin and Dr. Kendra Hayslett, OBGYN of Meharry College of Medicine in Nashville.
The workshop will be followed by a She ‘Ro Luncheon at noon.

Congressman Stephen Fincher will be in Martin Monday afternoon, March 21, at 1:30 p.m. to open his new office located in The Reed Center on Lindell Street. Bartlett UMC holds
annual craft fair
The Bartlett United Methodist Church is holding its annual spring crafts fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, March 25-26.
There will be quality arts and crafts by craftsmen from Memphis and the surrounding areas. There will be something for the entire family including lunch, baked goods, pictures with the Easter Bunny and great crafts.

Oak Grove Church
Oak Grove Baptist Church would like to invite everyone to the Weakley County Singing Convention at 7 p.m., April 2. Oak Grove is just off of Sharon Highway 89.
We welcome all singers, listeners, piano players, soloist and directors to attend. It will be a great night if everyone would come out and enjoy the gospel music and singing.
Farm-City will be “Telling the Agriculture Story” at a women’s brunch from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 9 at First State Bank Community Room in Martin.
The featured speaker will be Lisa Smartt. Vicki White from Vicki’s Designer Touch will be giving decorating ideas and Lauren Smethwick will bring entertainment.
Brunch will be served by Rene’ Kimsey Catering followed by a fashion show.
The event is being hosted by Weakley County Farm Bureau Women. The cost is $12 and you can receive a ticket by seeing Rocky at the Weakley County Farm Bureau office. Call 364-3138.
