County meeting set

The Obion County Legislative Body will meet 9 a.m. Monday at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Items on the agenda include the approval of minutes from the January 2011 meeting; a resolution to amend the County General Fund to budget the cost of replacing the roof at the Obion County Health Department ($35,495); a report from the Finance Committee concerning the PILOT agreement with DuPont/Pioneer Corp. (second reading); a report from the Finance Committee concerning Green Plains Obion LLC; a resolution in opposition to anonymous postings on the Topix website; a resolution to amend the General Purpose School Fund ($306,129); a presentation concerning the farm lease contracts for Everett-Stewart Regional Airport and the Obion County Nursing Home; a resolution to amend the debt service fund ($35,495); approval of a surety bond for Mary Sue Chilcutt from the Obion County Highway Department; consideration of a Budget Committee motion to rescind the Goodyear Railroad Crossing Safety Project; a resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and payment of a capital outlay note, not to exceed $240,000; a resolution authorizing the submittal of an application to the Tennessee Department of Transportation for a Courthouse Improvement Grant, Phase II ($73,018); and the approval of notary public applications.
Also considered will be appointments to boards, including the Joint Economic and Community Development Board (farming interests) (now serving, Ned Bigelow and Larry Gray); Emergency Communications District 911 board (now serving, Kenneth Thurmond, Harold Jenkins and Tim Partin); and the Obion County Highway Commission (now serving, Truman Johnson).
The meeting is open to the public.
