| | BRAVO FROM THE BOARD — The Union City Middle School boys’ basketball team was honored for its recent West Sectional championship at Monday’s Union City School Board meeting. Union City School Board chairman Glenda Caudle recognized the team and presented a plaque in honor of their achievement to head coach Ronald Ward. The UCMS boys’ team is traveling to Nashville this week — as guests of state Sen. Roy Herron. The Twisters will be honored on the floor of the state Senate with a proclamation honoring their title. Then, the UCMS boys will head to Murfreesboro to take in some of the TSSAA Boys’ State Tournament. | | | | |
