Last week was a great week at Hillview Community Living Center as we kicked off an all new activities calendar for the month of March!

We started on Tuesday with a delicious game of Food Trivia. We tested the knowledge of our residents to see how well they knew what they were eating and where it came from. As the questions were being asked residents enjoyed a cup of coffee and a morning snack cake.

Later in the week the residents enjoyed a popcorn social hour. Wednesday afternoon we fired up the pop corn machine and residents started filing into the dining room for a bag of pop corn and a cup of cold Coke.

Our residents were very competitive in our games of week! First up was bean bag toss. The residents tried throwing bean bags into buckets on floor but it did not prove to be difficult to for our three top winners. Coming in first place was James McLeod with a high score of 190 points, second place was Michael Louie with 140 points, and third place was Mary Diviney with 90 points.

Our second game of the week was ring toss. Our top winners were Anthony Edmonston with 15 pts. and Michael Louie tied second with Harold Scherfel. Both had 10 pts each. Our third and final game was an old game of washer toss. The residents really enjoyed this game as James McLeod took the top spot again with 44 points. Donald Roberts got 30 pts. and Terry Henderson came in third place with 26 pts.

Every Friday we play a good game of Bingo. Bingo winners this week got to choose from a variety of prizes such as lotions, chips, snack cakes, or a can drink.

All of our residents enjoy the Bingo game every week and look forward to it the following week!

Every day our Wii Bowling League competes for the top spot on the leader board.

Everyday five gentlemen gather together for the fun game of bowling. They laugh and cut up with each other and all enjoy it!

We want to give a special thanks to all the churches who came out last week and over the weekend.
