The following cases were disposed of March 7-11 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed. All others are published, including judicial diversions, without exception.
• Terry N. Moffitt (203 East Collinwood, South Fulton) — three counts of worthless check, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, pay check and costs on each count.
• Michael A. Jeffries (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Union City) — Schedule II controlled substance in a school zone, bound over to the grand jury.
• Kelly A. Massey (113 North Sunswept Drive, Apt. 56, Union City) — assault, guilty of a lesser charge; theft, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation except 60 days jail, $100 fine and costs, $35 restitution to Walmart, banned from Walmart.
• Jeffrey L. Mobley (1302 Edwards St., Paris) — theft, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation except five days jail, $100 fine and costs, $59.35 restitution, banned from Walmart.
• Kenneth K. Moss (612 East Main St., Obion) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days to serve 48 hours with balance on supervised probation, $250 fine and costs.
• Dan R. Crittenden Jr. (2686 Allie Campbell Road, Union City) — worthless check, paid check and costs.
• Dalton F. Hinson (4630 North Newman Glover Road, Union City) — driving while license suspended, deferred.
• Finis R. Mobbs (720 Church St., Rives) — worthless check, paid check and costs.
• Gerardo R. Mora (225 Maurl St., Holly Springs, Miss.) — financial responsibility law violation, traffic ticket paid in full.
• Whitney D. Newsome (1008 Williams Road, Hornbeak) — texting while driving, traffic ticket paid in full.
• Christopher D. Shirley (674 Jackson Hill Road, Hornbeak) — window tinted, traffic ticket paid in full.
• Kevin J. Baldwin (1104 Fredrica St., Owensboro, Ky.) — possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, waived to the grand jury.
• Amanda A. Brooks (672 College Drive, Rives) — possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, deferred, informal adjustment, $150 fine and costs, 25 hours community service.
• Kirby Butcher (705 West Washington Ave., Apt. 8, Union City) — worthless check, paid check and costs.
• Marcus D. Dickerson (203 Graham St., South Fulton) — possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and failure to appear on a citation, bound over to the grand jury.
• Bradley H. Eason (4268 Bethlehem Road, Union City) — failure to endorce/deliver/report certificate of discharge lien, 10 days suspended if title is produced and court costs paid.
• Britt A. Ferguson (419 Denver Road, Union City) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days jail, $750 fine and costs; simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days jail, $1,000 fine and costs; theft, 11 months and 29 days to serve six months consecutive to other sentences, $100 fine and costs, $377.28 restitution, barred from Walmart.
• Rocky Jones (501 West Main St., Obion) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days to serve 48 hours with balance on supervised probation, $250 fine and costs.
• Jason L. Prater (3017 San Juan Drive, Owensboro, Ky.) — Schedule VI controlled substance/facilitation, $250 fine and costs, 40 hours community service.
• James T. Warlick (131 Beaumont St., Martin) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days judicial diversion, $250 fine and costs.
• Jamie R. Whitehead (215 Jones St., Martin) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days to serve 48 hours jail with balance on supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked, statutory requirements.
• David Blakley (418 Vine St., Samburg) — vandalism, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, costs, $6 restitution, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation; theft of services, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, costs, $142.72 restitution, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation.
• Penny M. Fox (609 Broadway, Obion) — simple possession/casual exchange, no contest, judicial diversion, six months unsupervised probation, $250 fine and costs within 30 days.
