Bethel University to host career fair

Bethel University will host the Job Market, the 20th annual consortium career fair this Thursday, March 17. The event is sponsored by a five-member consortium that includes Bethel University, Freed-Hardeman University, Lambuth University, Union University, and Lane College in an effort to provide career resources to their students and alumni.
The Job Market will feature approximately 30 corporations and agencies and will include several Fortune 500 companies. Corporate sponsors include State Farm, Enterprise Holdings, E.W. James & Sons Supermarkets, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Asera Care Hospice, Regions Financial, Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, AFLAC, Tennessee Army National Guard, Target Stores, U.S. Army, CB Richard Ellis, Hertz Corporation, Walgreens, Walmart Stores, and Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. Corporate sponsors enjoy the added benefit of networking with the 100 Rising Stars from the five consortium institutions during a pre-event breakfast reception.
“With the current job market, the five consortium institutions feel it is more important than ever to make every possible networking opportunity available to our students and alumni,” said Heather Stone, Career Development Counselor with Bethel University. “We also take pride in being able to present quality students and alumni to our participating companies and organizations in an effort to work in partnership to fulfill the needs of all those involved.”
The Job Market will be held in the gymnasium of the Roy Baker Fieldhouse from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. A complete list of recruiting companies attending the career fair is available at http://www.tjmfair.com. All students and alumni of the five sponsoring institutions are invited to attend free of charge. Dress is professional. Those attending should bring multiple copies of their resumes to distribute to prospective employers.
