Completed arrangements are being announced for James William “J.W.” Wright, 78, of Union City, who died March 13, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Paul Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Triangle Cemetery in Troy.
Pallbearers will be Albert Wright, Terry Wright, Brian Wright, Genie Barnes, Claude Billingsley and David Fuzzell.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City First Baptist Church.
He was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Obion County, son of the late Verlie Downing and Rebecca Penelope (Key) Wright. He was a retired farmer and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of Union City First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters and his brother-in-law, Suzanne and Thomas Key and Shirley Wright, all of Union City; his brother, Glen Wright of Columbus, Ga.; four nephews, Marshall Key of Africa, Albert Wright of Union City, Terry Wright of Atlanta and Edwin Wright of St. Louis; and several great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vance Wright and Edwin Wright;
