University of Tennessee at Martin students Rusty Davis of Troy, Cheryl Lockhart of Brighton, Raymond Howard of Martin and Paul Jones of Bartlett were among more than 50 students who presented research at the recent University of Memphis 31st Annual Undergraduate Research Conference.
The title of Howard’s presentation was “Utilizing performance abilities of dynamic IEF for the isolation of tadpole erythrocyte ferrireductase to aid in the study of Parkinson’s disease.”
Howard, a senior chemistry major, was also awarded an Outstanding Research Presentation Award, one of five given to student presenters.
Davis is a senior chemistry major. His presentation was “Advancement of dynamic isoelectric focusing.”
Ms. Lockhart, also a senior chemistry major, presented “Validation of dynamic IEF using hemoglobin variants.”
“Towards the synthesis of feruloyl methane antenna complexes for sensitized lanthanide emission” was the title of Jones’ presentation. He is a junior chemistry major.
