Barbara Ann Lofton, 68, of Smyrna died March 12, 2011, at her home. She was the sister of Kevin Goree of Troy.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Smyrna, with Mike Browning officiating and burial following there in Mapleview Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Hope Clinic of Murfreesboro or the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was a native of East St. Louis, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Donald and Delores (Elkins) McCracken. She had retired from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Carlos and Sonja Bosch of Marion, Ark., Mark and Lisa Laderman and Brian Laderman, all of Martin, and Tim and Anne Marie Laderman of Rexburg, Idaho; her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Cam Smalley of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Donna Alexander of Price, Utah, and Gloria Collins of Beech Grove; and six grandchildren, Alan Laderman, Mercedes Laderman, Michael Laderman, Amanda Laderman, Karlie Laderman and Tyson Laderman.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne McCracken; and her sister, Susan Wilson.
