Jamie Adams, who is currently studying for the master’s of divinity degree at Memphis Theological Seminary, will be the speaker Sunday morning at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 631 East Church St.
Mrs. Adams is married to Jason Adams and is the mother of Matthew, 15, and Audrey, 12. She is a graduate of Union City High School and earned a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She has worked in the Lake County School System since 2004 as a technologist and teacher and is a candidate for the ministry in the West Tennessee Presbytery. She grew up in Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy and is a lifelong member. Mrs. Adams also serves on the Obion County Museum board of directors and is director of youth ministries at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is also chairman of the Youth Ministry Planning Council for West Tennessee Presbytery and serves on the Discipleship Training Team.
A prayer service is planned for 9:15 a.m. Sunday, with Sunday school to follow at 10 and worship at 11.
