Ward promoted at First Citizens

Joe Ward of First Citizens National Bank has been promoted to northwest market regional president, according to First Citizens National Bank chief executive officer and president Jeff Agee.
“Today’s successful community bank is no longer just a bank. We must position ourselves to offer a wide array of high quality financial products and services in a professional manner. Without a quality staff of committed teammates, this would not be possible. We are proud to promote Joe Ward for his outstanding performance and dedication to the success of First Citizens,” Agee said.
Ward has served as community bank president for the bank’s Union City and Troy financial centers.
He is a graduate of Southeastern School of Banking at Vanderbilt University and of the University of Tennessee at Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program.
He currently serves as a member of the WestStar alumni association.
Ward presently serves on Dyersburg State Community College’s Foundation board of directors and board of directors for the Tennessee Technology Center.
He is a member of Union City Kiwanis Club, having previously served on the organization’s board of directors and as president and vice president.Ward also previously served on the board of directors for Leadership Obion County.

First Citizens National Bank is an independent community bank with 19 locations. The bank was established in 1889 in Dyer County and serves markets throughout nine Tennessee counties, including Obion County.
The bank placed 81st in the top 200 community banks in the nation, according to a list from U.S. Banker magazine published in its June 2010 edition. The ranking is based on a three-year average return on equity.
