PUPPY POPPERS — Members of the Union City Afterschool 4-H Club recently made Peanut Butter Puppy Popper dog treats for the animals at the Animal Adoption Center in Union City. Among those participating were (front, from left) Ariel Hughes, Grace Kennedy, Alexis Hughes, Maddie Hogan, Hope Kennedy, (back left) Jermize Weddle, (back center and continuing) Jonathan Ryder, Matthew Ryder and adult leader Lonna Kennedy. Accepting the treats for the center was shelter manager Sarah Dodd (back, second from left). The Union City Afterschool 4-H Club is open to residents in grades 3-8. Members meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the meeting room at the Obion County Public Library.
