Hudson named All-TranSouth

HUDSON
Gleason native Kayla Hudson was one of five members of the No. 1 ranked Union University Lady Bulldog basketball team earning TranSouth Conference postseason honors.
Hudson, who helped the Gleason Lady Bulldogs to a state championship in 2007 and led Union to an NAIA national championship in 2010, was named to the first-team all-conference squad along with teammates Sarah Chan and Lavanda Ross. Hope Adams was named to the second team. LaTesa McLaughlin was named to the all-freshman team.
Hudson is the only player in Union history to notch 1,500 points and 700 assists for her career. This season, the former Miss Basketball winner is averaging 16.1 points, 4.6 assists and leads the team with 95 made 3-pointers (95-218, .436 percent). Hudson is a four-time all-conference selection and has been on the NAIA All-American list in each of her past three seasons.
