What a wonderful week at Van Ayer Healthcare & Rehab! The residents enjoyed participating in the activities held this past week at our facility. A different activity is held in the morning and afternoon every day! In room activities are also conducted for those residents that are not able to attend the activities held in the dining room. The staff works hard to make sure that each resident is able to participate in activities that are most important to the resident.

BINGO, the fan favorite, was held on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, the residents had the opportunity to participate in an activity named All About the States. They were able to explore the state of Maine and also play games. A new state is explored every week or every other week. The residents enjoy learning something new about each and every state. They have already explored over half of the states! On Wednesday, Shepherd’s Field held a devotional at our facility. The residents and staff always enjoy your presence and we thank you for coming! On Thursday, John Bishop came to our facility for a singing with the residents. We also want to thank you for coming! On Friday, the residents enjoyed aroma therapy and sittercise. The residents love this activity! It is a time they can relax, feel pampered, and feel refreshed.

We also celebrated our residents that had a Birthday in the month of February. A Birthday party was held in our dining. Delicious cake, punch, ice cream, and snacks were provided for the residents to enjoy their special day. The residents love to be acknowledged on their special day always have an exceptional time at the Birthday party. Happy Birthday to all our residents for the month of February!

A few upcoming activities include BINGO, Country Store, Manicures, Movie Time, Bunko, and All About the States. The residents will be exploring the state of Maryland next week. Next Friday is the meal of the month. The residents pick their favorite meal and the meal is specially prepared for them by our wonderful dietary staff!
