Estelle N. Copeland

Mrs. Estelle N. Copeland, 84, of Martin, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at the Bridge Nursing Home in Ridgeley.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, Ky., with Elder Maley Davidson officiating. Burial was in Sandy Branch Cemetery, South Fulton.

Mrs. Copeland was born June 16, 1926, daughter of the late Roy Alvin and Clara A. Terrell Nix. She was the widow of Billy B. Copeland Sr. She was a homemaker and member of the Sandy Branch Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy B. Jr. and Carol Copeland of Dyersburg, Garry N. and Diane Copeland of Union City; five grandchildren, April Lynn Copeland of Memphis, Bethany Copeland of Union City, Roy Samuel Copeland of Oakland, James Buchno of Memphis and Morgan Singleton of Blytheville, Ark.; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden Wiles, Dylan Singleton and Peyton Gestring, all of Blytheville, and Hannah Wiles of Memphis.

Ben Junior Martin

Ben Junior Martin, 63, of Palmersville, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger McPeak and Bro. Joe Eaton officiating. A private burial was held.

Mark Martin, Ben J. Martin II, Wayne Huffman, James Gatlin, David Wilson, Matthew Wilson and Joshua Curry served as pallbearers.

Martin was born Oct. 3, 1947, son of the late Hansford E. and Edith Ethel Bailey Martin. He was a truck driver and attended Beulah Land Cowboy Church in Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Barbara Carroll Martin of Palmersville; one daughter, Melissa Martin of Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Tracey Martin of Somerville, Ben J. II and Mary Martin of Martin; and six grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Lassiter; two sisters; and two brothers.

Julius James Morgan

Julius James Morgan, 86, of Fulton, Ky. died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, Ky. There will be no visitation held.

Morgan was born Feb. 18, 1925 in Fulton, son of the late Henry and Lillie Jones Morgan. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy, formerly employed by Henry I. Siegel.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lee Eubanks.
