Local attorney gets reinstated

A Weakley County attorney has been reinstated after serving a temporary suspension from practice for misappropriation of funds. 

Kyle Eric Crowe, was reinstated by Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court Friday, Feb. 16. He was suspended on Nov. 24, 2009 for the misappropriation of funds thereby posing a threat of substantial harm to the public.

Crowe filed a Petition to Dissolve Order of Temporary Suspension. On Feb. 7, a hearing panel entered a recommendation that the temporary suspension be dissolved with the following conditions: 1. Crowe shall comply with his monitoring agreement entered into with the Tennessee Lawyers’ Assistance Program (TLAP); 2. Atty Lang Unger and Crowe shall ascertain to whom the funds currently in his trust accounts are owed and immediately forward those funds to those persons; disbursement subject to approval of the board; 3. Pending resolution of disciplinary charges, Crowe shall not enter into the solo practice of law and shall work only in a supervised firm setting where he has no control over trust funds and/or a trust account; and 4. Crowe’s spouse shall not be permitted to work in any capacity involving Crowe’s present or future trust accounts.
