Central club holds meeting

Eighteen members and one guest met at the Ole West Steakhouse on Feb. 15 for Central FCE Club meeting.
President Jerry Seamans welcomed everyone and read The Thought for the Day, “To Love and be Loved is to Feel the Sun from Both Sides” by David Viscott.
Elsie Smith gave the devotional thoughts on the “Holy Alphabet” and gave the prayer.
Pat Calhoun reported on the numerous box tops for education, Campbell soup labels and aluminum pull tabs that Central Club members donated for the charitable organizations in 2010.
The prayer coordinator this year will be Pam Jones with Mary Jane Cox as her assistant.
The FCE Achievement Luncheon will be held March 15 and the cost is $14. Please bring cultural arts entries, silent auction items and dress revue entries for 8:30-9:30 a.m. The program will begin at 10 a.m. The luncheon will be held at First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Dresden.
The club baby blanket and gown project will be held at 9 a.m., March 30 at the Farm Bureau Building in Dresden.
Extension Agent Beverly Shelby gave a very informative program on “the upside of stress,” with many helpful suggestions.
