Pesticide re-certification classes slated

All pesticide applicator cards will expire on Oct. 21.
In order to keep a pesticide card current, all farmers must attend a re-certification meeting on Thursday at the Obion County Farm Bureau in Union City.
There will be four meetings from which to choose — 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. or 5 p.m.
Farmers should allow 1 1/2 hours to be re-certified. They must bring a $15 check payable to UT and their current Pesticide Private Use Applicator Card.
Farmers who are not currently certified must attend a regular certification meeting arranged though the University of Tennessee Extension Office.
For more information, call the Obion County Extension Office at 885-3742.
