County meetings set Posted: Tuesday, March 1, 2011 5:59 pm The Messenger, March 1, 2011 The Obion County Budget Committee will meet 9 a.m. Monday in the basement conference room at the Obion County Courthouse. The committee will be discussing the following items: • a report from the Finance Committee concerning the PILOT Agreement with DuPont/Pioneer Corp. (second reading); • a report from the Finance Committee concerning Green Plains Obion LLC; • a resolution to amend the county general fund in the amount of $35,495 to budget the cost for replacing the roof at the Obion County Health Department; • information concerning a grant for Phase II, Proposed Improvements to the courthouse grounds; • a presentation by Obion County University of Tennessee Extension Service office director Tim Smith; • a resolution to amend the general purpose school fund in the amount of $306,129; • a request for two line item transfers for the sheriff in the amount of $60 and the jail in the amount of $2,000; • a request for a line item transfer for the county clerk in the amount of $180; • a resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and payment of a capital outlay note not to exceed $240,000; • a resolution to amend the Debt Service Fund in the amount of $35,495; • discussion concerning the monthly payments for the Port Authority’s GEMC note; • a resolution in support for the designation of state routes 22 and 43 from southeast and south of Martin to Union City as an interstate highway link to I-69; • a resolution in opposition to the Topix website; • approval of a surety bond for Mary Sue Chilcutt; • consideration of notary public applications; • other items brought before the committee.
