7. Boise @ Red Raptors
In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Red Raptors threw up 34 points to beat Boise in a tough game. In the first quarter, Lou Rechis scored 7 points, including a 3 pointer for Boise. For Red Raptors, Michael Long scored 1 point. In the second quarter, for Boise, Ethan Garica scored 4 points, Jordan Sullivan scored 2 points, and Spencer Legins tried to go up for a shot. For Red Raptors, Bennet Fuqua scored 1 point, Chase Krider got a rebound, Donovan Spivey scored 3 points, Mason Pyrdom scored 2 points, Long scored 3 points, and Parker Bell scored 2 points. In the third quarter, Garcia scored 1 point, and Rechis scored 7 points. For Red Raptors, Long scored 10 points. In the final quarter, Rechis scored 8 points, and Tyler Davis got a block. For Red Raptors, Long scored another 10 points. The game ended in a 34-28 win for the Red Raptors.
8. Livewire vs. Orange Swoosh
In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Livewire and Orange Swoosh faced off. No one scored for Livewire in the first quarter, but Alexis Beam and Summer Villasica both scored 2 points for Orange Swoosh. In the second quarter, Anna Yott scored 2 points, and Leah Thedford and Naomi Griffin scored 1 point each for Livewire. For Orange Swoosh, Beam and Villasica scored 2 points each again, along with Autumn Long, Hallie Arnold, Tiarra Jackson, and Valessa Jackson each scoring 1 free-throw. In the third quarter, Yott scored 2 points for Livewire. Villasica and V. Jackson both scored 2 points for Orange Swoosh. In the fourth quarter, for Livewire, Yott scored 1 point, and Jada Briggs scored 3 points. Caroline Perry, Madison Summers, and Shelly Rowlett all had good defense throughout the game. For Orange Swoosh, Beam and V. Jackson both scored 2 points. Hannah McCroskey and Kallie Pruiett had good effort. Orange Swoosh won the game 20-10.
9. Thunder vs. Heat
In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Heat and Thunder squared off. Heat’s Hope Gray scored 4 points, Lauren Beverly scored 1 point, and Marisa Rubio scored 2 points. Thunder did not score. In the second quarter, Heat players Alyssa Duncan, Hannah Grace Gardner, and Zanasha Gadlen each scored a free-throw. Gray scored 3 points, and Kyera Thompson scored 2 points. For Thunder, Brittney Fabian scored 2 points, Emma Kelly scored 1 point, and Morgan Bessent scored 1 point. In the third quarter, Thompson of Heat scored 2 points. For Thunder, Anna Hazlewood scored 2 points, and Kelly scored 3 points. In the fourth quarter, Duncan, Gray, and Thompson scored a total of 7 points for Heat. Hazlewood and Raegan Johnson both scored 2 points. Blanie McDonald, Caroline Schuster, and Lauren Hester had great effort throughout the game. The game ended in a 24-13 win for Heat.
