February is “Love Your Library” Month! Please come by and check out our display window this month because romance is in the air.

With mentioning that, Sharon Public Library offers services to our community. The Library offers Faxing and Coping for a minimal fee. We also offer paper shredding and free Wi-Fi.

This week’s Story Time topic was Abe Lincoln and George Washington. Mrs. Betty Cannon provided a very interesting story time for the children. The children also spent time putting together a puzzle of the USA and discussed the different states.

Each child received their own penny and quarter to represent the President’s portrait. J M Gilbert will be in charge of next week’s Story Time. Please bring the children by on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

The Book Buzz will have their monthly meeting on Feb 24 at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to come join our book club.

The Library also has several different community items for sale, The Last 100 Years of Sharon, Sharon Afghan and we have a couple copies of the City of Sharon Cookbook left on hand.

Janice Crider donated a copy of “Sharon 2010 Obituaries” to our Genealogy Collection. Crider also has the new “Weakley County 2010 Obituaries” available.

We have added several new DVDs and VHS movies to our collection along with “The Shack” by William Young.

We are excited about building our collection with added new Bestsellers and enhancing our Young Adult collection. The library continues to accept “In Memory” monetary donations along with our ongoing book sale. For more library information please call 456-2707.
