A Union City man has been charged in connection with a weekend stabbing incident that injured a Troy man.
Brian R. Eaves, 33, of 1524 Airport Road, Union City, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. Sunday at Shenanigan’s at 2227 Phebus Lane and charged with aggravated assault, according to a Union City Police Department report.
The charge stems from an incident that resulted in injuries to Daniel Leon Harrell, 24, of 126 North Chestnut St., Troy.
Police responded about 3 a.m. Sunday to a complaint of a fight in the parking lot at Shenanigan’s. An officer said as he turned onto Phebus Lane, he was stopped by a Shenanigan’s employee who said he was taking the victim, who had been stabbed, to the emergency room of the local hospital.
Harrell apparently sustained wounds to the stomach area.
According to an affidavit filed with the police report, a statement from Harrell and other witnesses alleged Eaves “cut (Harrell) with a sharp object,” causing Harrell to seek medical treatment.
