slated for tonight Signups for youth league baseball in Samburg are scheduled for 5-6:30 p.m. today at the Samburg Fire Depatment.
Registration is $20 per player for any youth signing up to play T-ball, coach-pitch, minor league or little league for the coming spring and summer season.
A birth certificate or proof of age will also be required for sign-ups. Sign-up dates set
for Rives’ baseball Registration for the summer baseball leagues in Rives will be conducted this week.
The first sign-up period is set for Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Rives City Hall.
The second date scheduled for registrations is Saturday at the same location from 10 a.m. until noon.
Registrations will be taken for T-ball, coach pitch, minor league and little league.
First-time players are encouraged to bring a birth certificate although it is not required at the time of registration.

to fish Reelfoot Lake Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters will hold a tournament March 5 at Reelfoot Lake.
The one-day event is a major national qualifier within the Crappie Masters’ circuit.
The top 15 fishermen will qualify for the 2011 national championship.
Anglers in the Reelfoot tourney will compete for a guaranteed $10,000 payback.
There will also be a $500 prize for the bigest fish of the Reelfoot Lake tournament.
Registration is March 4 at Buford Ellington Assembly Hall in Tiptonville.
The tourney will begin at 7 a.m. with weigh-in at 3:30.
A children’s fishing rodeo will also be held on March 5.
It is free for children 15 and under.
Registration for the children’s event is slated to begin at 8 a.m. with activities to start an hour later.
