Marion (Crump) Parks Carman, 78, of Union City died at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Feb. 18, 2011.
Services were set for 3 p.m. today at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Doy Daniels officiating. Burial was to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Union City.
Pallbearers were to be Mike Winstead, Colton Parks, Forrest Parks, Tanner Parks, John Brasfield, Paul Buckner and Bill Hunt.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Sumner, Miss., daughter of the late Walter Daniel and Margaret Crump. She married Millard Carman Feb. 20, 1999. He died Aug. 31, 2006. She was a member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had worked with the federal Women’s, Infants and Children program.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Mike Winstead of Franklin; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Diana Parks of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Missy Winstead of Hattiesburg, Miss., Holly Parks of Milan, Italy, Colton Parks of Athens, Ga., Forrest Parks of College Station, Texas, and Tanner Parks of Atlanta; and her sister, Peggy Meyer of Walsenburg, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Hunt; and her brother, Walter Crump.
