L.C. Giles of Hickman, Ky., died Feb. 16, 2011, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, with the Rev. James Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Esters, Mark Fitts, Ronnie Fitts, Richard Smith and Roy Swift.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
He was born in Hickman Feb. 16, 1936, son of the late Castel and Annie May Giles. He was the widower of Doris (Smith) Giles.
He was a retired truck driver for the Kentucky State Highway Department and was a Methodist.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Giles of the Cayce (Ky.) community; his daughter, Shirley Cary of Kokomo, Ind.; his brother, Tommy Giles of California; two sisters, Georgia Johnson of Chicago and Shirley (Giles) Macklin of Fulton; and three grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Giles, Ottis Giles and Lawrence Giles.
