GCVAA is changing their meeting time from Third Monday nights to Third Saturday Mornings
Meeting: Saturday, Feb 19, 2011, Trenton City Hall
Show entry photographs: Royce Harris will photograph members paintings for entry into the Spring Art Show for a nominal fee, at Courtsquare Arts and Antiques, 103 S. Courtsquare, two days. 11 to 4 pm, Thurs Feb. 17 and Fri, Feb 18 from 11 – 4.
Quilt Trail Workshop: This “Arts Builds Communities” project (partially funded by Northwest Tennessee Development District) is becoming a reality. 8 quilt boards have already been sold to civic sponsors, and various church groups and civic groups are being signed up to hold workshops to paint the boards. This Feb. 19 meeting will be a preparatory one.
The artist members will select the designs, and make plans for a work day at the office to put together three boards and get their skills honed before leading the groups of civic organizations’ painters.
Elementary Art Exhibit at Trenton City Hall This elementary artwork will on view at the Trenton City Hall during the month of February.
This is a delightful presentation of young artists in the county and it’s a very special exhibit quoted Royce Harris, Gibson County Visual Arts Association president.
