Bro. Bobby Peal opened service singing “I’ve Got That Old Time Religion.”
Edna Johle taught from Romans 8:13, which says if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live. The Holy Spirit influences Christians to live ethically.
We sang happy anniversary to Shelley and Brad Byars, which was the 14th on Valentines Day.
Prayer requests were made for Charlotte Gallimore, mothers wanting their children to attend church, healing for the sickness and harmony in the homes of all young married.
Guests in attendance were: Kathy Faulkner; Carolyn Hayes and her granddaughter, Hope Radford; Kenneth and Ann Casey.
Hunter and Ashlyn Hagye helped lead “Glory Glory” and “He’s A Big God,” Mary led “I Want To Know More About My Lord” and “He Abides,” Nickie Hampton sang “Mercy Walked In,” Kathy Faulkner and Harvey Dildine harmonized to “Until Then” with Melba Carson on piano, Kenneth Casey sang “I’m Going Through” with Kathy on piano and Ashlyn played “Jesus Loves the Little Children” on the piano.
Bro. Bobby titled his message “Hands Too Full” and referred to Ruth 1:14-16.
After service we adjourned to the fellowship hall to enjoy fine delicious casseroles and desserts made by our ladies and played games Sis. Faye Peal came up with. A good time was had by all as the scripture says, “laughter is good medicine for the soul.”
