1. Dream Team @ Boise

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, Boise almost had the win, but Dream Team prevailed. The first quarter was slow for Boise, with Alex Deal scoring 2 free-throws, leaving them no choice but to get it together later in the game. Dream Team started off a bit more strong. Dylan Parks scored 2 points, Matt McMillan scored 4 points, and Nolan Bigham scored a free-throw. In the second quarter, Boise players Deal, Jordan Sullivan, Spencer Legins, and Tyler Davis scored free-throws; also, Lou Rechis scored 4 points. For Dream Team, Barrett Linhoss, Cole Sullivan, Parks, Ethan Gallien, and Reed Chandler scored free-throws, Seth Mitchell snagged a rebound, and McMillan scored 4 points. The third quarter is when the scores started going up. For Boise, Deal scored 3 points, and Rechis scored 8 points. Dream Team’s McMillan was their only scorer for this quarter, he scored 9 points, including a 3 pointer. In the fourth quarter, Jimmy Woodson scored 4 points, and Rechis scored 7 points for Boise. Parks scored 2 points, and McMillan scored 9 points again for the Dream Team, also including a 3 pointer. The final score of the game was 36-32 for Dream Team.

2. Tennessee Crush @ Red Raptors

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, TN Crush defeated the Red Raptors. In the first quarter, Joshua Floyd scored 2 points, LaDarius Alley scored 3 points, and Malik Roberson scored 5 points for TN Crush. No one scored for Red Raptors. In the second quarter, Dalton Moore got a rebound, Jaxson Hazlewood scored 2 points, Alley scored 1 point, and Roberson scored 1 point for TN Crush. For Red Raptors, Aubrey Bynum scored 1 point, Michael Long scored 1 point, and Bennett Fuqua scored 2 points. In the third quarter, both teams offenses were a little slow. Clay Cantrell scored the only 2 points for TN Crush. No one scored for Red Raptors, but Mason Pyrdom and Chase Krider had good defense. In the fourth quarter, Gaige Robey, Alley, and Malek Jones each scored 2 points for TN Crush. Red Raptors’ Bynum came out of his shell scoring 4 points in the last quarter of the game. The game ended in a 22-8 win for TN Crush.

3. Hoop Squad @ Boise

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, Boise faced off against the Hoop Squad in their second close game of the day. In the first quarter, Cameron Trice scored 4 points, Jaylen Mitchell scored 1 point, and Malik Pogue scored 4 points for Hoop Squad. For Boise, Lou Rechis scored 2 points, and Jordan Sullivan scored 7 points, including a 3 pointer. I In the second quarter, Davon Trice scored 1 point, Jaylen Mitchell scored 7 points, and Pogue scored 1 point for Hoop Squad. For Boise, Alex Deal scored 3 points, Sullivan scored 1 point, and Tyler Davis assisted to Rechis for 2 points. In the third quarter, Hoop Squad’s Mikey Neilson and Abdulla Obadat had good defense at the top of the key. C. Trice, Mitchell, and Pogue all scored. Boise’s Lou Rechis was the only scorer for this quarter; he had 6 points, including a 3 pointer. The fourth quarter had little scoring action. Hoop Squad’s Diego Ferrer snagged a rebound, and Mitchell scored 2 points. Rechis scored 1 point for Boise, but Spencer Legins and Jimmy Woodson had good effort throughout the game. The final score was 29-25; Hoop Squad won.

4. Heat @ Panthers

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, Panthers and Heat battled it out on the court. In the first quarter, Christopher Pinto stole the ball and made a lay-up for Heat. For the Panthers, Dillon Moss scored 1 point, Hunter Todd scored 2 points , and Tyler McClure scored 2 points. The second quarter was full of steals. Angelo Malacapy, Bruce Hicks, and Harrison Capps each got a steal. Also, Malacapy scored 1 point and Colin Stricklin scored 4 points. For the Panthers, Kendall Harrelson got a steal, McClure scored 2 points, and Skylar McCroskey scored 1 point. In the third quarter, Heat shut down, with only Stricklin scored 2 points. The Panthers, however, took off. Hunter Todd scored a 3 pointer, Keilan Rooks made a shot attempt, McCroskey scored 2 points, and McClure scored 5 points. In the fourth quarter, Stricklin scored 4 points, and Dylan Sullivan scored 1 point for Heat. For the Panthers, Moss hit a 3 pointer, and Harrelson scored 5 points, including a 3 pointer. The game ended in a 27-14 win for the Panthers.

5. Thunder @ Celtics

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, Thunder and the Celtics squared off. In the first quarter, Chase Spencer scored 2 points for Thunder. Dylan McClanahan scored 4 points for Celtics. In the second quarter, Thunder players Brandon Butler scored 5 points, Spencer scored 3 points, Dallas Laney scored 1 point, and Zach Jones scored 2 points. For the Celtics, James Pritchett made a shot attempt, Nathan Williamson scored 2 points, Nathan Maya assisted to McClanahan for 2 points, and Jordan Hazlewood scored 1 point. In the third quarter, for Thunder, Spencer scored 3 points, and Jones scored 2 points. For the Celtics, McClanahan scored 4 points and Williamson scored 4 points. In the fourth quarter, Spencer scored 4 points, and Jones sank a 3 pointer for Thunder. For the Celtics, McClanahan scored 2 points, Hazlewood scored 3 points, Maya scored 2 points, Williamson scored 4 points, and Ryan Mathney scored 2 points. The game ended in a 32-25 win for the Celtics.

6. Bulls @ Heat

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, the Bulls and Heat went head to head in a close match. In the first quarter, Elizabeth Plunk had a shot attempt, and Reed Rooks scored 2 points for the Bulls. For Heat, Bruce Hicks, Dylan Sullivan, and Harrison Capps all scored. In the second quarter, Hicks and Sullivan scored 2 points for Heat. In the third quarter, for the Bulls, Jared Wortham scored 2 points, and Reed Rooks scored 4 points. Andrew You and Joe Ray Perry had good ball-handling skills. For Heat, Angelo Malacapy and Christopher Pinto both got a steal. Capps got 6 points, and Colin Stricklin had good ball-handling. In the fourth quarter, Wortham scored 1 point, Michael Woolridge had good defense, and Reed Rooks scored 6 points for the Bulls. For Heat, Sullivan scored 2 points. The final score of the game was 24-19; Heat won.

7. Heat vs. South Fulton

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, South Fulton came to town. In the first quarter, for Heat, no one scored. For South Fulton, Macie Lester scored 2 points, and Kennedy Sisson scored 6 points. In the second quarter, for Heat, Emma Taylor and Lauren Beverly both scored a free-throw. For South Fulton, Amyia Davis scored 2 points, Brittney Procter scored 4 points, and Katie Pope scored 1 point. In the third quarter, for Heat, Taylor scored 1 point, Hope Gray scored 2 points, and Zanasha Gadlen scored 1 point. For South Fulton, Procter scored 2 points, and Abbey Fulcher scored 2 points. In the fourth quarter, for Heat, Alyssa Duncan, Hannah Grace Garner, Kyera Thompson, and Marisa Rubio had good effort throughout the game. For South Fulton, Procter and Lester scored. In the end, South Fulton won 24-6.

8. Thunder vs. South Fulton

In the Martin Parks and Recreation Basketball games on Saturday, South Fulton came to town. In the first quarter, Thunder did not score. For South Fulton, Tiffany Potts, Madison Brown, and Tykesha Vaughn all scored. In the second quarter, Thunder players Anna Hazlewood and Brittney Fabian both scored a free-throw. For South Fulton, Potts, Josie Wilds, and Vaughn scored. In the third quarter, no one scored for Thunder. For South Fulton, Emma Glisson and Davis scored. In the final quarter, Hazlewood and Blaine McDonald scored 1 point each. For South Fulton, Glisson, Potts, Olivia Pope, and Davis scored. The score of the game was 29-4 for South Fulton.
