Joe Ellise Allen

Joe Ellise Allen, 57, of Greenfield, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at his residence.

Services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield with Mitchell Turner officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greenfield.

Allen was born Feb. 2, 1954 in Milan, son of Lucille Allen of Greenfield and the late James Ellise Allen. He was a factory worker.

Survivors also include one son, Joe Clemons of Greenfield.

Mildred Richmond Bunnell

Mildred Richmond Bunnell, 92, of Gleason, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at Martin Health Care.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel of Gleason with Bro. Jerry Powell officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Dyersburg.

Mrs. Bunnell was born Aug. 22, 1918 in Finley, daughter of the late M. C. and Bessie Runions Wilbanks. She was a factory supervisor.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Kathy Bunnell of Gleason, Wayne and Barbara Bunnell of Madison; two sisters, Bobbi Bartell of South Bend, Ind. and Dorothy Cavins of Chicago; one brother, Cletus Wilbanks of McConnell; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Shirley Turnbow Davidson

Mrs. Shirley Ann Turnbow Davidson, 67, of Martin, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at the Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Travis Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Allen officiating and Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Travis Davidson, Cody Smith, Wesley Tyler Davidson, Chris Davidson, Carl Davidson III and Brian Turnbow served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Davidson was born Oct. 21, 1943 in Obion County, daughter of the late Ezra and Mary Vicker Turnbow. She formerly worked at Merit Clothing Company and at Martin Middle School. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Davidson Sr. of Martin; six sons, Carl Davidson Jr., Danny Lee Davidson, Stevie Dale Davidson, Michael Lynn Davidson, Travis Davidson and Wesley Tyler Davidson, all of Martin; one daughter, Natasha Dawn Ellison of Dresden; one brother, Carl Ray Turnbow of Martin; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Dodge Turnbow and James Turnbow.

John Richard Kocsis

John Richard Kocsis, 65, of Dresden, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger McPeak officiating.

Kocsis was born June 16, 1945 in Grand Haven, Mich., son of the late Louis and Florence Clark Kocsis. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a construction worker.

Survivors include his companion, Nancy May of Dresden; two daughters, Joi Kocsis of Tampa, Fla. and Corry Kocsis of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Jon Kocsis of Martin; one sister, Barbara Kocsis of Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Dave Kocsis of Lansing; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Royce W. McFadden

Royce W. McFadden, 84, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at the Van Ayer Manor, Martin.

A private family service was held at 1 p.m. Friday with burial in Brock’s Cemetery, Greenfield with Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield in charge of the arrangements.

McFadden was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Bradford, son of the late Jessie C. and Virgie Parham McFadden. He was a United States Army veteran. He was small engine mechanic and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Chester County.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Burress McFadden of Greenfield; and one son, Michael McFadden of Scottsboro, Ala.

Clifton Noel

Clifton Noel, 81, of Union City, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the Union City Manor.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield with Tom Elam officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greenfield.

Noel was born March 2, 1929 in Leland, Miss., son of the late Leland and Sarah Cole Noel. He retired as a mechanic on Feb. 1, 1985 from Chrysler  Corp.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda Ingram Noel of Union City.
