Hubert Earl Mullins, 83, of South Fulton died 7:20 a.m. Feb. 10, 2011, at Haws Memorial Rehab and Nursing Facility in Fulton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Jeff Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Little Obion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 this evening and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
He was born July 31, 1927, in Obion County, son of the late Sammy Goodin and Oral Gracie (Myatt) Mullins. He married the former Dorothy Snow Jan. 2, 1947, in Wingo, Ky. She survives. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He had lived in this area most of his life and had been a meter superintendent for the Western Division of Kentucky Utilities. He was a member of Fulton First Baptist Church.
Survivors also include his daughter and son-in-law, Diane (Mullins) and Thomas R. Nelms of South Fulton; his son, Joel Douglas Mullins of Henderson, Ky.; four grandchildren and the spouse of one, Stephen Douglas Kyle of Paducah, Ky., Kimberly Ann and Kyle Melton of Jackson, Brian Douglas Mullins of Henderson, Ky., and Joel Scott Mullins of Newburgh, Ind.; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Howard Mullins and Charles Edward Mullins; and his sister, Maurice Mullins.
