Free workshop 

to be held

Come join the “Living with Chronic Conditions” workshop. This is a free six-week workshop that will allow individuals to gain skills necessary to self-manage their health condition more effectively. Classes will be held each Thursday from 9-11:30 a.m. beginning on Thursday, Feb. 10 and ending Thursday, March 17 at the Weakley County Office on Aging in Dresden. Space is limited so please call 731-587-4213 to sign up or for any information. If no answer, please leave a message.


QDMA Chapter

to meet Thursday

QDMA West Tennessee Chapter            (Quality Deer Management) will meet at 6:30 p.m., Feb, 10, at O’Allisons Restaurant in  Greenfield.

They are meeting with the Southeast Regional Director to set a West Tennessee Chapter of QDMA in our area. Anybody that is interested in QDMA or wants to know more about QDMA to help us get our chapter going is invited to attend. Precision Ag

Conference set

Row crop farmers take note: the University of Tennessee has scheduled a precision agriculture conference to complement the annual Cotton Focus. Both are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, following the Cotton Focus. For more detailed information visit the website


Greenfield Ladies

beauty pageant

Mr. and Mrs. Sweetheart Pageant will be held at 10 a.m., on Satuday, Feb. 12 at the Greenfield Elementary School. The pageant is hosted by the Greenfield Ladies Club.

Age groups are as follows: 0-12 months (girls and boys); 13-23 months (girls and boys); 2-3 years (girls and boys; 4-5 years (girls only); 6-9 years (girls only); 10-12 years (girls only); 13-15 years (girls only) and 16-21 years (girls only).

Entry fee for beauty and flair for fashion is $35., two siblings entry is $60. Admission to the pageant is $5. For further information contact Amanda Vujicic at 699-0021.

Prime Rib dinner is planned

Friends of Hope Relay For Life team will be hosting a Valentine’s dinner on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Sinclair home, Gloryland Farms at 1947 Nethery Road, Martin. Come and enjoy fine dining in an elegant atmosphere. The men will include choice of prime rib or grilled chicken, baked potato, salad and homemade desserts at a cost of $25 per person. There is limited seating so call 571-8640 for reservations or more information. All proceeds will go to Relay For Life.


Greenfield Library Board Meeting

There will be a meeting of the Dr. Nathan Porter Library Board of Trustees on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the conference room of the library and the public is invited to attend.
