Vera Evelyn Williams, 86, of Paris, mother of Patricia Gail Starnes of Union City, died Feb. 6, 2011, at the home of her daughter.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, with Charlie T. Cate officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
She was born March 11, 1924, in Springville, daughter of the late Emmett Webster and Lula Belle (Bradford) Dunlap. She was the widow of Chester Williams, whom she married in 1941. He died Aug. 22, 2005. She was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ.
Survivors also include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Clara Williams of Hazel, Ky.; her son-in-law, Ralph Starnes of Union City; her sister, Maybelle Dye of O’Fallon, Mo.; and three grandchildren and the spouse of one, Megan (Starnes) and J.W. Knapek of Nashville and Christopher Adam Williams and Ian Jacob Williams, both of Hazel.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Lola Pierce, Estelle Pierce, Gladys Dunlap, Evia Juppier and Julia Dunlap; five brothers, Brady Dunlap, Ezell Dunlap, Freddie Dunlap, L.B. Dunlap and Oneal Dunlap; and two grandchildren, Jeffery Adam Starnes and D.J. Starnes.
