Polly “Pat” (Smith) Forrester, 71, of Troy died Feb. 5, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Phillip Pinion officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at the church, with White-Ranson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Alan Thompson II, Robert Eric Brown, Mike Linklatter, Louie Castillo, Oscar Perez and Evan Pitts will serve as pallbearers.
She was born April 16, 1939, in Haldeman, Ky., daughter of the late E.D. and Vestie Dean (King) Smith. She married Lyndell “Hank” Forrester June 22, 1968. He survives. She was a retired machine operator for the former Troy Manufacturing and was a member of Bethlehem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She sang with the Gloryland gospel group.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tammy and Alan Thompson of Troy, Bonnie and Robert Terrence Brown of Camden, Rhonda Williams of Chicago and Jeannie and Jerry Doughty of Dresden; three sons and daughters-in-law, Glennis and Lesia Smith of Lennon, Mich., Bill and Barbara Smith of Burton, Mich., and Curtis and Dolly Forrester of Chicago; and 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jamie Dale Forrester and David Forrester; and two daughters, Brenda Smith and Bonnie Stewart.
