1. Tenn. Crush @ Boise 

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Boise and Tennessee Crush faced off in the first match of the day. LaDarius Alley scored 4 points for Heat, and Lou Rechis scored a free-throw for Boise in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Alley scored 6 points, and Malek Jones scored 2 points. Also, Clay Cantrell, Dalton Moore, and Joshua Floyd scored free-throws for TN Crush. Alex Deal had a steal, Angus Ho snagged a rebound, Ethan Garica scored 2 points, Jimmy Woodson scored 1 point, and Rechis scored 1 point for Boise. In the third quarter, TN Crush Malik Roberson got a rebound, and Jaxson Hazlewood had good effort throughout the game. Boise player Jordan Sullivan scored the only 2 points of the whole quarter. In the fourth quarter, Alley and Gaige Robey scored 2 points for TN Crush. Boise tried to make a comeback but didn’t quite make it. Deal scored 2 points, Rechis scored 3 points, Sullivan scored 1 point, and Spencer Legens scored 1 point. The game ended in a 19-14 win for TN Crush.

2. Red Raptors @ Hoop Squad

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Red Raptors and Hoop Squad went head to head in an incredibly close game. In the first quarter, Red Raptors’ Aubrey Bynum scored a 3 pointer, Michael Long scored 6 points, and Parker Bell scored 2 points. The only scorer for Hoop Squad was Cameron Trice with 4 points. In the second quarter, Bymun scored a free-throw, Bennet Fuqua got a rebound, Donovan Spivey had a shot attempt, and Mason Pyrdom scored 2 points for the Red Raptors. Malik Pogue scored 6 points for Hoop Squad. The third quarter was good for Red Raptors with another 3 pointer from Aubrey Bynum, a rebound from Chase Krider, 2 points from Pyrdom, and 2 points from Long. For Hoop Squad, Jaylen Mitchell and Pogue scored 4 points each, and Mikey Neislon and Abdulla Obadat had good effort throughout the game. In the fourth quarter, the Red Raptors’ Bynum and Long scored 2 points each. Hoop Squad’s Pogue scored 2 points. Mitchell scored 4 points, with the last two points being free-throws that caused Hoop Squad to win the game 27-25.

3. Tenn. Crush @ Dream Team

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, TN Crush and Dream Team played the third game of the day. In the first quarter, TN Crush players LaDarius Alley scored 4 points, Malek Jones scored 2 points, and Joshua Floyd made a steal. For Dream Team, Cole Sullivan scored 2 points, and Matt McMillan scored 8 points. In the second quarter, TN Crush’s Clay Cantrell, Floyd, and Jones scored free-throws. Malik Roberson scored 2, and Alley scored 7 points. The Dream Team’s Ethan Gallien scored 1 point, Nolan Bigham scored 3 points, Seth Mitchell had a shot attempt, and McMillan scored 10 points. The third quarter was slow for TN Crush with Cantrell and Roberosn scoring 2 points each, and Alley shooting a 3 pointer. For Dream Team, Sullivan and McMillan scored 4 points, Dylan Parks had a shot attempt, and Reed Chandler got a steal. The fourth quarter was even more slow for TN Crush with 0 points, but Jaxson Hazlewood had a shot attempt; also, Dalton Moore and Gaige Robey had good defense. Gallien scored 2 points, McMillan scored 5 points, Bigham scored 4 points, and Barrett Linhoss had a shot attempt in the fourth quarter for the Dream Team. The final score was 43-25 with Dream Team winning.

4. Heat @ Celtics

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Celtics squared off against Heat. In the first quarter, the Celtics started slowly with only 3 points between Dylan McClanahan and Ryan Matheny. For Heat, Lucas Maxey scored 2 points, and Harrison Capps scored 8 points. Also, Angelo Malacapy and Christopher Pinto had steals. The second quarter picked up speed for the Celtics with James Pritchett, Jordan Hazlewood, Nathan Williamson, and Ryan Matheny each scoring 2 points. Heat’s Malacapy scored 1 point, Dylan Sullivan scored 1 point, and Maxey scoring 8 points. In the third quarter, Celtics scored a total of 5 points with Hazlewood, McClanahan, and Pritchett scoring. For Heat, Maxey scored 4, and Capps scored 2. The Celtics offense shut down in the fourth quarter with Pritchett only scoring 1 point. Heat, however, did well offensively. Bruce Hicks, Sullivan, Capps, and Maxey all scored bringing the final score to 36-18, with Heat winning.

5. Bulls @ Thunder

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Bulls played against Thunder. In the first quarter, Michael Park and Reed Rooks scored 2 points each and Elizabeth Plunk had a shot attempt for the Bulls. For Thunder, Chase Spencer scored 5 points, and Summer Long got a rebound. In the second quarter, Jared Wortham scored 1 point, Michael Woolridge got a rebound, and Rooks scored 2. For Thunder, Spencer scored 4 points, Will Erwin scored 3 points, and Brandon Butler scored 1. The third quarter was slow for the Bulls with Rooks scoring 4 and Joe Ray Perry packing a shot by Thunder, whose offense was gaining speed. Butler had a shot attempt, Spencer scored 3 points, Dallas Laney scored 2 points, and Zach Jones shot a 3 pointer. In the fourth quarter, Bulls’ Perry scored a 3 pointer, and Rooks scored a free-throw. For Thunder, Erwin scored 2 points. The game was a 23-15 win for Thunder.

6. Panthers @ Celtics

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, the Celtics gave their best effort against the Panthers. The first quarter had only one scorer for each team; Celtics player Ryan Matheny scored a 3 pointer, and Panthers’ Tyler McClure scored 8 points. In the second quarter, the Celtics’ Jordan Hazlewood and Matheny scored free-throws, and Nathan Willismson got a steal. For the Panthers, Dillon Moss scored 5 points, Keilan Rooks had a shot attempt, Kendall Harrelson had a steal, and McClure scored a free-throw. In the third quarter, no one for the Celtics scored. The Panthers’ Skylar McCroskey and Moss scored 4 points each. In the final quarter, Dylan McClanahan scored 2 points, James Pritchett had great defense, and Matheny scored another 3 pointer for the Celtics. For the Panthers, Moss and Harrelson scored 2 points each, and McClure scored 6 points. The Panthers won 30-10.

7. Livewire vs. Orange Swoosh

In the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games on Saturday, Orange Swoosh beat Livewire 26-6. Orange Swoosh players were Alexis Beam, Autumn Long, Hallie Arnold, Hannah McCroskey, Kallie Pruiett, Summer Villasica, Tiarra Jackson, and Valessa Jackson. The Livewire players were Anna Yott, Caroline Perry, Jada Briggs, Leah Thedford, Madison Summers, Naomi Griffin, and Shelly Rowlett.

8. Heat vs. South Fulton 

South Fulton came to town on Saturday in the Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games. The girls who played were, from Heat, Alyssa Duncan, Emma Taylor, Hannah Grace Garner, Hope Gray, Kyera Thompson, Lauren Beverly, Marisa Rubio, and Zanasha Gadlen. From South Fulton, Karlee Meadows, Meagan Johnson, Meleah Sturgeon, Huley Land, and Amber Lemon played; they were coached by Rodgers. South Fulton won 20-17.

9. Thunder vs. South Fulton (5th grade)

In the second game of Martin Parks and Recreation basketball games that South Fulton was a part of, the players for their team were Brittney Proctor, Abbey Fulcher, Kennedy Sisson, Amyia Davis, Katie Pope, Tyriana Lewis, and Macie Laster. The Martin players for team Thunder were Anna Hazlewood, Blaine McDonald, Brittany Fabian, Caroline Schuster, Emma Kelly, Lauren Hester, Morgan Bessent, and Raegan Johnson. South Fulton won 31-9.
