Dresden High School FCCLA Students Teach Recycling – FCCLA students taught kindergarten students at Dresden Elementary about recycling.  The children learned the importance of recycling.  “Our mission for this project is to encourage recycling in our community and we wanted to start with young children,” said Jenny Willoughby. The FCCLA students incorporated math and reading skills as students learned about recycling.  The children enjoyed the puppet show as well as learning a song about recycling.  We want to encourage parents to teach their children to recycle by making them aware of places that recycle in Weakley Co.  A brochure was prepared and sent home to parents that had places the children could carry recyclable items in Weakley County.  Dresden High School FCCLA has a trailer in the back of DHS that anyone in the community can bring any paper or cardboard products to be recycled.  “We want to encourage everyone in the community to recycle, reduce and reuse items to help protect our natural resources,” said Katie Vowell.
