Several activities were held last week for our residents at Van Ayer Healthcare & Rehab. The fan favorite, BINGO, was played on Monday. Country Store, Rhythm Band, Scarf Dancing, Funny Money Auction, and Arts & Crafts were a few of the many activities held last week.

The residents enjoyed making Valentine’s Day decorations that they can display in their rooms for the Valentine’s Day holiday. The residents also participated in a cooking class. The residents used their talented cooking skills and made delicious homemade donuts. They were scrumptious and melted in your mouth!

A few upcoming activities next week include BINGO, JINGO, Scrapbooking. All About the States, and Puzzle Group.

On Friday, Feb. 4, a Super Bowl party will be held in our dining room for the residents and staff. Food and refreshments will be served among everyone to celebrate and cheer for their favorite team!

It will be a mini-pep rally and the residents, especially our devoted sports fans, will be ready to support the team they think will win. Stop by and join in on the fun!

The residents truly enjoy each and every activity. It is a time they can socialize, play games, and most important, have fun! There is an activity held in the morning and afternoon every day.

The residents that are not able to attend the activity held in the dining room are able to have an activity conducted in their room by one of our staff. Our staff works hard to ensure that our residents participate in the activities that are most important to the resident.

We would like to announce our Employee of the Month for the month of January. The January Employee of the Month is Ashley Avent. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and works on our third shift team. Ashley is a dedicated, compassionate, and sincere person. She is very hard working. She works above and beyond her job duty to make sure every task is complete. Congratulations Ashley!
