Students encouraged to consider field of nursing for job opportunities

West Tennessee Healthcare and Jackson State Community College have partnered to offer a wonderful insight into the field of nursing for prospective student nurses.

The Discover Nursing Careers is a program that allows patrons to “wear the scrubs for a day.” On Feb. 18, 2011, adults, 21 or older, will have the opportunity to follow and speak with some of the nursing staff at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. You will learn what it takes to make it in the challenging world of nursing. 

This event will offer valuable insight into the various job opportunities and educational requirements for a nursing career.

The excitement will begin at the front entrance of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital off of Skyline at 8 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m.

Deadline for reservation is Feb. 15 so don’t miss out on a wonderful hands-on experience and a chance to see if you have what it takes to handle an exciting nursing career.
