Completed arrangements are being announced for Reba Ellen (Craig) Brinkley, 86, of Rives, who died Jan. 31, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives, with David Kendall officiating.
The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Jamie McConnell, Jerry Burress, Russell Hilton, Bobby Lafever, Billy Brown, Terry Weatherford and Alonzo King. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Rives Church of Christ.
She was born April 23, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Carter) Craig. She married Horace Brinkley Sept. 1, 1945. He died in 1986. She was a seamstress and was a member of Rives Church of Christ and both the Pleasant Valley and the Pleasant Hill Family and Community Education clubs. She received several ribbons for sewing and cooking at the Obion County Fair and was a participant in the annual Ridgemont School Spring Heritage Days events.
Survivors include her sister, Sarah Mitchell of Chicago, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred “Pete” Craig, Frank Craig and Joe Craig; and her nephew, whom she raised, Terry Craig.
