Megan Owens and Cody Thomason were recently united in marriage at Honeymoon Hills Wedding Chapel in Gatlinburg.
Dan Netherland of Gatlinburg performed the Christian ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Larry Dale Edington of Central City, Ky., and Charlene Renee Mason Owens of Palmersville. Her grandparents are Larry Edington of Union City, Wanda Castleman Fagan of Dukedom, the late Dorthey LeCornu Mason Johnson of Martin and the late Charlie Mason of Dukedom.
The groom’s parents are Larry Scott Thomason of Murfreesboro and Kimberly Pugh Dean of Fulton. His grandparents are Peggy Thomason, the late Larry Vance Thomason, Nancy Reynolds and the late Ricky Reynolds, all of Union City.
She wore a white strapless gown with a heart-shaped bodice and long train and carried a hand-tied clutch of white roses with silver and orange accents.
He wore a black tuxedo with an orange vest and bow tie and an orange rose boutonnière.
“Have I Told You Lately That I Love You” by Rod Stewart was played during the lighting of the unity candle.
The couple shared a white heart-shaped cake for two decorated with white roses.
They honeymooned at Honeymoon Hills Resort.
She received her GED in 2009 and is employed as an administrative assistant in the hog procurement department at Sara Lee Foods in Newbern.
He is a 2005 graduate of Obion County Central High School and is a cylinder head specialist at Kelly’s Engine Service in Union City.
The couple is residing in Troy.
