The following cases were disposed of Jan. 24-28 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed. All others are published, including judicial diversions, without exception.
• Arthur Dale Hanks (608 West Sunset, Obion) — disorderly conduct, 10 days jail suspended upon payment of $100 fine and costs.
• Deronda D. Hanks (608 West Sunset, Obion, or 774 Canada Drive, Obion) — disorderly conduct, three days jail suspended upon payment of costs.
• Timothy C. Smith (752 Canada Drive, Obion) — promoting methamphetamine manufacture, bound over to the grand jury.
• Willie C. Pate Jr. (420 Moffatt Road, Troy) — violation of order of protection/restraining order, 11 months and 29 days to serve 10 days jail with balance on supervised probation, costs.
• Jeremy E. Robinson (519 Greenwood St., Jackson) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days to serve eight days jail with balance on supervissed probation, $350 fine and costs.
• James E. Simmons (773 State Route 781, Fulton) — two counts of burglary and three counts of theft of property, waived to the grand jury.
• Jessica R. Cook (218 Bright St., Troy) — financial responsibility law violation, traffic ticket paid in full.
• Cornelio C. Gomez (811 West Reelfoot Ave., No. 57, Union City) — driving without a license, $10 fine and costs.
• Trinity L. Parks (3857 G Cranford Road, South Fulton) — driving while license suspended, deferred sentence.
• Dorothy D. Haynes (529 Nash St., Apt. 88, Union City) — aggravated burglary and evading arrest, waived to the grand jury.
• John D. Billingsby (473 Linden St., Dresden) — two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and one count of identity theft, waived to the grand jury.
• Brian K. Clanton (1404 State Route 211, Obion) — theft of merchandise/shoplifting, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $100 fine and costs, $138.78 restitition, banned from Walmart stores.
• Kenneth J. Edwards (747 Main St., Martin) — possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, waived to the grand jury.
• Allen Elkins (3780 Ken-Tenn Highway, Union City) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days to serve 48 hours jail with balance on supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked a year, statutory requirements.
• Shannon J. Gibson (405 Denver Road, Union City) — two counts of worthless check, three counts of forgery and one count of theft, waived to the grand jury.
• Dennis L. Hutchins (511 Oliver St., South Fulton) — possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, waived to the grand jury.
• Harold M. Jenkins (884 Crestview Road, Troy) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days to serve 48 hours jail with balance on supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked one year, statutory requirements.
• Phillip D. Knowlton (149 Davis Road, Martin) — misdemeanor possession, 11 months and 29 days suspended except time served (two days in jail), $500 fine and costs.
• Octavious D. Leake (439 Michael St., Ripley) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days judicial diversion, $250 fine and costs.
• Carla D. Mathenia (Joy Taylor Drive, Apt. 3, Hickman, Ky.) — child abuse/neglect/endangerment, 11 months and 29 days judicial diversion, costs.
• Jason A. Rogers (3619 West Main St., Union City) — harassment, suspended upon payment of costs.
• Scott E. Readenour (5924 Highway 431, Union City) — probation violation, 30 days jail to serve four days pending review.
• Alisha M. Cooper (629 North Second St., Union City) — theft, 11 months and 29 days to serve four days jail with balance on supervised probation, costs.
