Local law enforcement authorities were alerted shortly before 9 a.m. today of an escapee from a Fulton work detail.
Jeffrey Leon Flowers, a 30-year-old black male, walked away from an inmate work crew around 8:15 this morning at the Fulton Public Works Department, according to the Fulton County (Ky.) Sheriff’s Department.
He was wearing a brown hoodie. A radio transmission from the Obion County Sheriff’s Department described him as being 6-feet-2-inches and 220 pounds.
He was serving a sentence for theft by deception over $10,000 and has a weapons charge in his criminal history, according to the local sheriff’s department.
Fulton County authorities said Flowers is not armed and is not considered dangerous. He is from the Nashville area.
